American Trilogy

This masterpiece of mixology was created in 2007 by Richard Boccato and Michael McIlory at NYC’s Milk and Honey bar. A twist on the classic Old Fashioned, the American Trilogy is perfect balance of savory rye and semi-sweet, fruit-flavored brandy. The American Trilogy is not the only thing you should drink this fall, but it is definitely one of the things you should drink.

INGREDIENTS:
George Dickel Rye
George Dickel Rye is the only rye finished in the style that made George famous – chilled and charcoal mellowed. This fine rye whiskey is made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley.

Laird’s AppleJack
William Laird emigrated from Scotland in 1698 and settled in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Believed to be a distiller by trade, he applied his skills to the most abundant natural resource available in this area of the New World – apples. Laird’s AppleJack has a light flavor of tree-ripened apples, adding a balanced flavor to this cocktail.

Large Cube Ice
Javi and his East Austin ice facility hand carve the best ice in the city. This giant cube melts slowly and releases less water in the glass, allowing the first sip to taste as good as the last.
