What is the difference in whiskey vs. bourbon? Tennessee Whiskey vs. Canadian? And why in the world does Japanese Whisky drop the “e?”
All great questions and we’d love to teach you and your guests about the fastest growing spirits category in the world.
Over the course of 90 minutes, we source the knowledge from some of the top mixologist in the world to teach each class the following:
- Mash Bill: What is it? Why does it matter? How does it change what I taste? What do some of the big players use (i.e. Maker’s Mark, Bulleit Bourbon, etc)?
- Tennessee vs. Kentucky vs. Canada: What is a distillation process and what are the regional differences? Is single barrel or blended “better?”
- Japanese Whisky: Literally unfindable in many cases but highly sought after we not only source some very hard to find bottles we’ll teach you about the culture in Japanese spirits production and what makes it so unique that is literally drops the “e.”
While learning through the class, we’ll teach how to use each spirit to make 3 different cocktails (Gold Rush, Monte Carlo, and Old Fashioned). So education and ethanol all wrapped under the banner of “team building?” Beats the heck out of the ropes course idea :)!
